Brand new!

I have for the first time in my knitted a hat! After unsuccessfully trying to teach myself to knit with needles,I bought a knifty knitters and I am in love! I completed my first baby hat in about an hour! Its not perfect but is very nice!

I have found some cool patterns online that I want to make next, but I am getting confused. Some of the instructions are confusing to me. For example, I'm making the ear flap hat that's all over the net, and I have one flap done, but do I cut the yarn before doing the next one?

There's a lot of abbrevstions I don't understand either. I need to learn the different stitches. Any recommendations on how to learn all this? Any recommendations at all for a new knitter/ looker?

Hi Stefani,

I have some easy loom knit project videos. I don't do patterns just because I prefer instructions (text) and pictures.

Here is my link.
