Complete Beginner

Hi everyone,

I am a complete beginner at knitting and looms. I am looking to find a beginner loom pattern for a infinity scarf. I have bought both the circles and the long looms. If someone could send me a pattern for a dummy that would be wonderful.

Here is a website that has patterns and videos on how to make scarves on a round loom. Working with the round loom is best for a beginner. I almost gave up because I could not get the tension right. After a week of practice, I finally was able to knit a baby hat.

I found it is best to use two different yarns together. You keep them together by putting the yarns thru a straw (cut about 3 inches long). You eventually learn how to use the straw to help guide the yarns around the pegs.

Don't give up!!! It is worth learning how to use a loom instead of knitting.

The nice things about working with the loom is that you don't necessarily need a pattern. That being said there are eight hon of pins on Pinterest with patterns, and a lot of YouTube videos if you are a visual learner.

since you're a complete beginner, I would suggest starting with a straight blue and in the wrap and just net until you have the length that you want. Then you'll just so the two edges together and voilà! There you have yourfirst infinity scarf
