My wife has an infinity loom and she is going crazy because just after casting on in the first row of knitting, it gets so tight she can't work with it. She bent the hook trying. Any suggestions?

Cast on Problems NEW
by: Marilyn

Hi,
Tight cast on stitches are a common problem. My suggestion, when you do the first wrap of the pegs, be sure you are very loosely wrapping the peg (almost just laying the yarn around it, no tension on the yarn at all). best way to describe it is the yarn sits snug up next to the peg, no slack, but also not tight or any tension on the yarn. After, when you start your "knit over stitches" and do your following wraps, be sure you are not pulling on the yarn as you wrap, no stretching or tension on the yarn. I hope this helps.

Tension NEW
by: Jenyfer

Probably how she casts on. Sometimes it takes a little practice to get the tension right, and a lot depends on how much stretch the yarn itself has
