I've decided I'd like to make all of my Christmas gifts for this year. I'm making scarves and hats as some of them. I thought if I learned how to crochet, I'd be on my way. But, I really like the finished knit look much better, so I bought a loom set. (I heard it was a fast and easy way to create scarves.) Well, I've managed to get through my 1st scarf and hat according to the simple directions for the long loom and the round loom. Now, what I'd really like to know is how to incorporate some designs into the fabric such as shapes like diamond and V shapes, letters, circles & spots, etc., using different colored yarns. Is this difficult? I'm such a total beginner!
