Help please!

Hi! I'm new here! I am currently making an afghan on the KB afghan loom (198 peg). I'm so close to being done with it BUT I realize that i made one giant tube sock!😖 i totally forgot to leave the opening! Is there anything I can do to save my project? This is my first time using this loom & making a blanket for my mom.

TIA!

Jessica

First time Afghan Assistance NEW

Hi,

Another idea (but you may not wish to). Since it is like one giant tube sock, I assume the opening is top and bottom. You could just leave it a double thickness and crochet and edge top and bottom connecting the edges together, a very thick blanket but it would save your work. Perhaps, if you do not know how to crochet, add a fringe connecting the two edges together on the top of the tube and the bottom. Just a thought.

Tube-ghan! Yikes! NEW
by: Jen

Oh dear, yikes!

If you have access to a sewing machine, you could run two close together tight vertical zig zag lines, to anchor the stitches so they dont fray, then cut vertically between them.

This will give you a flat panel. Perhaps you can then do a decorative binding around all 4 sides to cover the zigzags on the sides, and also acts to reinforce the stitching?

That is the only thing I can think off off the top of my head!

Also, if you have facebook, in the search bar, enter "loom groups". There are several, all fun and interactive with crazy loomers of all skill levels, ideas, projects, tips, photos, etc.

Good knit kisses is a great one, and knifty knitter loom group also. Join them all!

Ask questins - all looms are dealt with. You might have a blast!

Hope this helps, and good luck! Jen
