size for cap for premies NEW
by: Mary

I have the loom that is 5 1/2 in and the cap comes out too small for the bigger babies. It needs to be about 6 1/2 in size. Is that a way to make the cap bigger as I have not found a bigger loom?
Also what are you talking about when you say 2 or 3? As a beginner that does make much sense to me.

Thanks

baby hats NEW
by: Marsha Mason

most usually they say to make the hats up to 7 inches in length from you beginning round to the inside of the loom you are using. For premmies I would probably go with maybe 4 inches in length. I always keep a ruler or tape measure close by to measure with when I am on my looms. Also depending on your yarn you use will determine how big or little to make your hat. A baby yarn that is a 3 will make up smaller than if you use a worsted weight and a 2 will be even smaller than the 3. Have I totally confused you now? Sorry!!!
