how to make big blankets




I started a blanket with a big loom now that my blanket is the length I want I need to know how to add to the width. Where do I begin?

While I'm still fairly new to looming, I've done a lot of projects really quick, plus a TON of research and YouTube watching. I'm currently finishing up my first blanket. The only suggestion I have is this: it doesn't seem like you can add width. What i've done is keep track of my stitches until I get the length I want, then bind off and make more panels in the exact same way. I only have 2 right now (the blanket is for my dog) but I started a new one and plan on making 3 panels for a human size one. I'm sewing the panels together using the mattress stitch that I found online. It's tricky because I used a fuzzy-ish yarn. But I'll get there. Hope that helps and I'd love to hear other ideas!
