i have a sock knitting loom but i don't understand how to get the right measure for how many pegs to use. I have a measure of 4 ins. then you multiply by 7 then subtract 15% of that and it should tell you how many pegs to use?

You need to cast on 24 pegs. Go head and count 10 for the slider and top row. Now you have 14 to cast on. Count seven rows down from the top and move the slider to the seventh row. Problem solved =)
