Hi! I am making knitted fingerless gloves for my friend using 2.25mm needles. The instructions were simple, broken rib knit for 2.5 inches, stockinette for .5 inches, then begin thumb gusset, once to a certain number of stitches, it said to put the 22 gusset stitches onto a stitch holder. Then I was to knit round for the hand and not knit the rest of the thumb yet. However when I went back for the rest of the thumb instructions it said to "reattach the yarn".

How do I go about reattaching the yarn? I'm completely lost here! Thank you!

knitting (needles) fingerless mitts NEW
by: Jenny Tavernier

Hi Johanna,

Woo! I make these on my loom, so not sure where you are needle wise. The instructs weren't even clear to me. I would suggest though, since this is looming, not needles, that you go to you tube and check out vids of knitting fingerless mitts. Watch a few, it might give you and idea of what they were talikng about, and how to finish the mysterious unattached yarn!

You can also check out (youtube) loom knitting+fingerless knits, if you want, or are converting from a loom knit pattern. Hope this helps!
