Just Started!!

My 6 year old just started knitting a hat on the round loom. I know nothing about knitting so I am not able to help. Everything I have read says don't wrap too tight, but nothing explains what to do if it happens. Do we need to scrap the whole project and start over, or is this reversible?

How far into the project is the hat? If you have several inches worth of project then I would say finish it off and use the project as a purse with a draw string. Sew the one end off and run a draw string through the top and you have a totebag. But if you only have a few rows done, then take each stitch and loosen them up. You might have to take it out but if you can loosen them on the loom do that instead. Good luck! Marsha Mason, West Columbia, SC
