Knitting Loom Newbie

Hello All...

I have never been able to knit or crochet the 'normal' way and that has always driven me nuts...grin...I'm left handed and everyone that tried to teach me was right handed...don't know if that has anything to do with it, but it never worked out...I just wasn't coordinated enough to use those needles...

Recently, I was told about loom knitting and decided to give it a try...I'm hooked...but I'm tired of making just scarves and would love to make other things...

Being so new to knitting looms...and all things knitting...I'm having a hard time figuring out patterns, etc.

I'm using the Loom Knitting Primer book and I'm interested in trying to make the Cowl on page 79...and I don't understand what it means when it says S1 = Skip the stitch with yarn in the back?

I look forward to learning a lot from you guys...Thanks! Lilfix

how to teach a lefty to knit & crochet NEW
by: Anonymous

My daughter is a lefty. The way I taught her to knit and crochet (with me being right handed). I sat across from her and faced her . That worked out well. And she was able to learn. You should give It a try if you still want to learn.
