12/12/16 Hi Lenita!

You are in for loads of fun!

The first thing you should do, is go to youtube.

Search loom knitting+beginner
or loomknitting+knifty knitter, (or even your brand name,) but KK was the magic that started it all, and there are tons of vids.)

one can also search youtube simply for loom knitting.

Watch, watch watch! You will get an idea of the wonders you can start making, plus see the actual projects or any question being actually done.

Good vids for beginners, are also under tuteate - these are real time, for the most part, and are very clear!

Then, go to facebook, and search Loom Groups.

There are several, and they are interactive, with 100s of crazy mad loomers, at all stages, asking questions, showing their projects, giving and getting tips, - a couple great ones off the top of my head, are Good Knit Kisses, and Knifty Knitter loom group. (All looms are dealt with.)

I would suggest, get your basic ewrap stitch down, learn to make a flat panel, (youtube vids) - (it is simple ewrap back and forth, but useful to know since it will apply to LOTS!

Learn the Superstretchy bind off. (vids! (if you sew, it is based on the stretch zigzag back and forth stitch. It isn't hard, but will make all the difference once you begin to make hats and leg & wristwarmers, (simple tubes!), Where you will need to have some stretchy ease. Using the regular bind off, it leaves no leeway for stretch, and in wearables, can be like a tourniquet! Been there done that!) lol

The most important is youtube. so that you can see it in action. So:
get down stitches:
e wrap,
making a flat panel, (scarves, anyone?)
super stretchy bind-off,
regular bind off, (aka cast off.)
get familiar with hats, legwarmers,(easy in- the-round tubes -24 peg loom) fingerless mitts,
(tubes with a thumbhole!flat panel)

Oh! of course a hat, because one learns drawstring cast off!

Have a lovely time, and get connected to the groups on facebook!

Have fun! Welcome to the fascinating world of looming! Jen!
