Loom Knit a 7 Year olds Skirt?

by Britany

Hello, everyone. I am very new to yarn crafts. I am looking for a way of making a skirt for my 7-year-old stepdaughter. She wears a size 7(us) in little girls. Do yall know any patterns for a spring skirt for a little girl? Thanks so much.

Hi there!

The first thing, if you are on face book, is to get over there and in the search field, look for "loom Groups".

There are several, and they are all mad and happy loomers, and have done every project, skirts, ponchos, blankets, slippers, sox, mitten, fingerless mitts, etc, and have or know of tons of resources!

There are also tons of patterns and tips under the right hand title of documents, in each group.

Good ones of the top of my head are knifty knitter loom group, GoodKnit Kisses, etc.

This link takes you to an earlier post with some links, about skirts.

Some of the links may have changed, but FB will get you there. Also, search youtube - start your search there with loom knitting+what question.

Another inspirational source, that will often click thru to a blog, or directions, is Google Images Search. Start your query with Loom knit skirts, hats, ponchos, etc. You will get tons of pics to peruse, and clicking on them will give you the source. (some ill be needle knitted, but oh wow the loomed ones!

also ruffle loom knit+ fairy dress skirts, (loom and tulle), which we were all mad for:

The fairy dress/skirt will show up in the google search images pics.

It is a loomed ez tank top, with tulle pulled thru in whatever colors you want. It was amazing. Christina Fasoula? (fb) came up with a pattern for it. Serc for her name, or just join the groups, and go through the photo/galleries.

Hope this helps!
