purse size mini loom

purse size mini loom

I made a pocket size fine guage mini knitting board/loom out of some wide tooth combs I bought
at the beauty supply store. It's adjustable, it was
inepensive to make, and it works great for small,or
large projects. Best of all, it fits in my purse and
I can take it anywhere.

I have a instructional pdf with photos, just didn't know how to upload it.

you beauty!

Hi Lisa,
I did think of using a comb but you have made my idea very clear now. I have been surfing the net to find out about pocket looms but they are all too expensive to buy. I have overdone needle knitting in winter and have tendernitis in my left thum. So no more needle knitting for me for a while. I am on to loom knitting and my dear husband has made me two long looms using wood and cotter pins which I bought from the hardware store. However these are too long to carry around. hence I will try your technique and make a pocket loom using two combs. thanks again and happy crafting!

strange looms
by: Marsha

Hey Lisa, Your comb loom really looks cool. After looking at it, it reminded me of the loom I tried that even though it made pom poms it to was really neat and that was using a fork. By taking your yarn or thread in and out of the tines of the fork to make a variety of sized pom poms. I am going to have to try your comb loom though and see what happens. This is really neat.
