I blended Norspun gray and off white along with some blended fur yarn of gray, brown and dark gray. I did a band and switched colors mid looming and added a thin gray yarn as an added color and texture. Then for extra insulation as we had chilling winds this season, I knitted the hat twice as long as needed and then doubled it inside. Though doing three rows of loops might have been faster I liked the feel and fit. As I got to the section that would be the top of the hat I added the fuzzy furlike yarn in the brown, gray and dark gray to the top and also in a pom pom for the top. This is a thicker yarn than I usually find so thought it would make a great hat.

I did a hat for a trucker friend of mine - he is in the east a lot during winter - it was warm, but I think that doubling it would be PERFECT! Smart Girl, Smart HAT!

I am currently making psychotic elf boot slippers -
adults - transmogrified mukluk+slippers+curly elf toes with bell - wish there was a way to post pics!
