Thanks Jenny. Sounds like great starting places. I have a market bag crochet pattern that used thin nylon cord and cotton yarn. Sounds good but wanted to try looming it. I'm not a skilled loomer but really am enjoying it.

sugar cream cotton - hard to knit? NEW
by: Jenny

LOL!

I have heard pros and cons. Cotton is not easily forgivable or as stretchy.

I have not loomed with it, but know of those who have. (Normally dishclothes, scrubbies, small items.)

Best bet here, A. Get some and try it,
B. Go to Facebook, search "loom groups.
There are several - off the top of my head try Knifty knitter loom group, or goodknit kisses, for starters.

Simply request to join, majorly interactive with tips, projects, questions, help, photos, patterns - etc. FB loom groups, full of mad and all level of skill loomers, was happily mindblowing!

I think lionbrand has a cotton that has stretch/ease in it.

Also, go to youtube, and see if there are any vids about looming with cotton yarn, or perhaps any bogs that may deal with it, with tips. (use search engine, put in " loom knitting+cotton yarn."

Good luck, go to FB though, as there are many who loom with cotton! You will have fun!
