Avid crafter and artist. I can crochet but arthritis is beginning to make it painful. I am hoping loom knitting will be easier on my hands.

Loom Knitting might be just what you need! NEW
by: Jenny Tavernier

Hi Roseanne,

This just may be the additional skill you'll love!

Be sure to use youtube for more data. There are 1000s of vids about loomknitting, and any question of wonder you have. I have found it best to find that if you enter `loom knitting`+whatever question - (It narrows down the fiber arts). Such as Loom knitting+purl stitch, or loom knitting+easy slippers. Et. etc. When I started, there were almost no vids or help available.
The other resource for any questions, similar interests, is facebook! The loom forums (there are several!) is a great resource and interactive forum for any question, photo, project, tips, tons of data.

In the search on FB, look for loom groups. Good knit kisses, knifty knitter loom group, etc., are great forums. Find them and send a request to join. As I said, there are several, and lots of us belong to all of them.

Looms may indeed be just what you need. the wrist action is much easier, and there are of course loom picks that are ergonomically designed. There was a company called In the Attic, that made looms specifically to ease this.. They aren't producing anymore, but made amazing looms, and they can still be found.

So get thee to FB, and get into the groups, you will have a mongo resource, with thousands of every day artists, crafters, and loomers.

Have fun! Jen
