Splicing to beginning - Long Loom & double knitting.

I was nearly done with a simple ribbed afghan on my figure-8 loom. Long story short - there is a problem about one foot up from where I began the knitting. Can I detach the first 12 inches of my work and then re-attach it to the rest?

This is Kristen's youtube channel. She makes amazing videos, most on the KKs, but also martha stewrat loom, etc. Tons of how toos, and she has an amazing stitch (vid) directory, Starts at the beginning KKs round and longloom, and then goes way beyond, all in full color!It is loomilicious! Tons of patterns also! -
