Stuck on how to (yo, k2tog)

I am trying to make a scarf from the Boye I Taught Myself to Knit book. I am confused on how to yarn over and knit two together. I have looked for videos to view but have been unsuccessful. Any suggestions?

I'm the pattern designer and here is a clarification to the (yo, k2tog):

The lace pattern in this scarf is formed from the YO, k2tog and alternating knit rows. The first step to working a (YO, k2tog) is to set up the pegs by moving the lp from where the YO will occur and place it on the peg where the k2tog will occur. Then work the YO by passing the WY over the empty peg and k2tog by EW & k two lps over one lp.

I might suggest going to You Tube and inputting knitting ( loom knitting if that is what you are using). Good Luck
