Toddler Sock Too Large NEW
by: Anonymous

Oh Dear! That possibly can be corrected and maybe not. Sometimes changing the type of stitch you use can make a smaller sock. Do a true knit, U knit stitch, or flat knit stitch not an E wrap knit (that creates a much larger sock stitches are larger and loser as compared to true knit, U knit or flat knit). Try a knit 2, purl 2 rib knit top or cuff...that too can tighten up the top part and create a sock that hugs the leg or ankle of the toddler. I have made many pairs and a rib knit cuff fits nice and is not tight on their legs or ankles (you can decide how many rows to do it for), I do 20 for adults and 10 for toddlers, children. Not all looms work well for all children and a 24 peg loom could just be way too large for the person you are making the socks for. Good Luck
